How long does it take to find a nanny?
On average, between two and six weeks. You'll get weekly updates on our search, and if you need care urgently, tell us in your enquiry and we'll talk through options.
How much does it cost?
Your first consultation is completely free and there's no obligation. If you decide to go ahead, a non-refundable $500 recruitment fee starts your search, and the remaining placement fee is paid only once you've chosen your nanny. We explain both in full in your discovery chat before you commit to anything. No surprises. And right now, our Welcome Offer takes $500 off your placement fees when you enquire by .
What if the nanny isn't the right fit?
You interview every candidate and you always have the final say. And if your nanny isn't the right fit once they've started, every family is entitled to one free replacement nanny within the first 6 months.
How are your nannies screened?
Every nanny completes a personality and real-life scenario-based interview, two documented reference checks, a National Police Certificate (within 12 months), Blue Card verification, current First Aid and CPR, and a government ID check. Once you've confirmed they're the nanny you'd like to go ahead with, they complete Kidsafe injury-prevention training, funded by us.
My child has allergies or medical needs. Can you help?
Yes. That's exactly why we exist. Our founder, a Registered Nurse and Midwife, personally reviews each family's health and care needs, and where extra training is needed (for example anaphylaxis) we fund it for your nanny.
Why choose a boutique agency over a larger one?
Because you're never a number. Stacey personally interviews every nanny, reviews your family's needs herself, and funds safety training most agencies don't offer. Every family receives the same personal attention, from your first enquiry to long after your nanny starts.
Which areas do you cover?
We place nannies with families across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Not sure if your suburb is covered? Pop it in the quiz and we'll let you know on your call.
What happens if my nanny is sick or on leave?
Family Circle members receive backup nanny support on a best-endeavours basis, plus direct support from Stacey.
What is your Family Circle?
Our optional Family Circle gives you ongoing support from Stacey, discounts on future nanny placements, backup nanny support on a best-endeavours basis, and compliance tracking for your nanny. We keep track of their CPR, First Aid and Blue Card expiry dates and send you renewal reminders.
What is Dearest Beginnings?
Our newborn support service. Nannies with a midwifery or nursing background support you at home, overnight or short term, with feeding routines, settling and time to rest. They work in a nanny capacity and don't provide medical care.
How do I pay my nanny?
Your family is the direct employer of your nanny, so you pay them directly. We partner with Pay The Nanny, who handle payroll for you and waive their set-up fee for families who come through us. Nannies are paid under the Miscellaneous Award, and nannies who work more than 30 hours a week must also be paid superannuation.
